After Arnold Schwarzenegger retired from Hollywood in 2003, a variety of actors have filled his shoes. Most notably, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has become the go-to action hero for blockbuster films. Johnson began appearing in big-budget films such as The Scorpion King and The Fast & Furious franchise in 2001, steadily gaining fame since then. In more recent years, Johnson has taken the lead respective roles for several blockbusters such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Skyscraper. Other actors who’ve followed Schwarzenneger’s footsteps include Sylvester Stallone—starring in franchises like The Expendables—and Bruce Willis who is known for his work on Die Hard movies and Armageddon. Recently Jason Statham is also taking over leading roles with films like Crank, Spy and Hobbs & Shaw while Vin Diesel continues to star alongside him in Fast & Furious series which was beloved by Arnold fans previously.
